In the words of Red Hot Chili Peppers: Give it away, give it away, give it away now!
I'm very excited to write this post. It's the first of many giveaways this year. In celebration of Valentines Day, I'm giving away 5 FQ's of my favorite reds and 5 FQ's of my favorite pinks. That's 2.5 yds of fabulous fabric.
Here's how this lovely stash builder can be yours. Leave a comment about what you like (or dislike) about Valentine's Day. If you decide to become a follower, leave a 2nd comment. If you're already a follower, let me know and it counts as 3 entries! :) International folks are always welcome!
I'll pick a winner on Tuesday morning! Good Luck fabric junkies! :)
All of the fabrics are wonderful for Valentine's Day...love them! I agree with Rebecca - the best part of the Day is the chocolate! It is like on Valentine's Day - chocolate has no calories.ReplyDelete
I hate Vday. I love my hubby but it is silly that we have a day where we feel like we must have a date, must get eachother something, must "prove" we love eachother. Why don't we just do that all year long? Silly silly... it isn't even a real holidy, Hallmark just sponsors it :)ReplyDelete
That being said... yes we will be going out to dinner haha.
I am a new follower! :)ReplyDelete
i usually really like valentine's day, although i can't say that we've ever really had a great one. it seems like something always goes wrong! this year, we'll probably just be snuggled up at home with our new baby. :)ReplyDelete
uh, how am i not already a follower? i am now. :)ReplyDelete
CHOCOLATE!! Dark chocolate dove hearts, need I say more?ReplyDelete
I love V day because I love pink!ReplyDelete
I already follow via google readerReplyDelete
I dislike Valentines Day b/c once you become an adult it's basically a couples only holiday. And couples already have it better than the rest of us!!ReplyDelete
Love those fabrics! Thanks for the chance to win them. I am not crazy about Valentines Day, its a Halmark holiday.ReplyDelete
Can I be indifferent? Every day of the year is the time to eat chocolate and my hubby and I aren't much of a Hallmark kind of couple, so I can take it or leave it. This year I like it because I'll be attending a sewing class that night :)ReplyDelete
I follow you - and drool over your fabulous fabric stash!ReplyDelete
I love your fabric choices Jen! Thanks for the giveaway! I like V Day because as parents of four little ones, we need the excuse to get out. We don't do gifts or chocolate (though I wish he would on the chocolate!). But, this year he is working that night. So, I am hanging with a girlfriend! Cheers!ReplyDelete
I am a follower through email!ReplyDelete
My favorite thing about V-day is the sweets of course! Cupcakes and such...and chocolate. :)ReplyDelete
Beautiful reds and pinks! Thanks for the giveaway ~ I love Valentine's Day because... what's better to celebrate than love???ReplyDelete
I've been following your blog for a while now - after seeing your amazing DS Quilts star quilt on Flickr! W.O.W.ReplyDelete
What I love about Valentines Day is you can show your love to everyone - not just one special person - although that is nice too!ReplyDelete
I followed you in reader, but now with GFC. thanks!ReplyDelete
My fave part of Vday is the sweetest dinner my husband and daughter make for me! They wear aprons, deck the dining room like a restaurant and spoil me with wine, appitizers and a "gourmet" fancy dinner! It's my favorite part of the year- they are too darn cute!!ReplyDelete
I've been a follower for awhile now! :o)ReplyDelete
I love all of the chocolate, I dislike how you can NEVER go out to dinner because the restaurants are too busy. :)ReplyDelete
New subscriber to your blog, love the fabrics.ReplyDelete
Jen! i cannot believe i dont follow your blog. Shame on me! Your flickr picture of those fabrics drew my interest and led me to your site! :)ReplyDelete
What i dislike? hmm.. once i mentioned that flowers make me sad because eventually they die to my husband, now i dont get flowers any more. I always get sad on valentines day because more than anything i want some flowers!! (i even tell him that, but he doesnt want me sad later)ReplyDelete
I am a little ambivalent about Valentine's Day - I love my husband every day - not just February 14th. I like celebrating our anniversaried (marriage and first date) much better. I'm not a V-day hater, though - so those gorgeous fabrics would be perfect for me :-)ReplyDelete
I am a new subscriber to your blog - Thanks so much for the great giveaway!ReplyDelete
Great fabrics! My stash is pretty light on reds and pinks... I always thought Valentine's Day was just a Hallmark holiday, but then a friend of mine declared his love for me on Valentine's Day and we were married about 2 years later. So, now I love it :) Thanks!ReplyDelete
Mouth watering fabrics!!! I never liked Valentine's Day much until I had kids. Kids make everything more fun! =)ReplyDelete
I'm a new follower.ReplyDelete
Thanks for the chance to win!
I hate the every feels like they have to be extra lovey on that day you should be that way always :) I love my chocolate covered strawberries that my husband gets me though I am a sucker for them.ReplyDelete
I am a follower :)ReplyDelete
I love the chocolates, dark chocolate.ReplyDelete
I am not a v-day hater, but lots of the cutesy stuff you see around pinterest is pretty ugly to me! But I am a single girl so maybe I have a negative view! I do love some of the funny cards they bring out.ReplyDelete
I'm a new followerReplyDelete
I am a follower in my google reader!ReplyDelete
I love chocholate, Lindt chocolate !!!!!ReplyDelete
For me Valentine's is ALL ABOUT THE CANDY!!ReplyDelete
thanks for the great giveaway!
I love trying to think of something extra special to do for my husband! Plus all the chocolates around is a big bonus ;)ReplyDelete
Beautiful fabrics!!! I think Valentine´s day has a commercial purpose. I don´t need to show my love only this day.ReplyDelete
I love Valentine's, but wish it were more universal -- you know, wishing everyone a happy day, instead of just family and sweetheart!ReplyDelete
I am a happy brand new follower!ReplyDelete
I like that it's a reminder to celebrate your love for someone. Not necessarily a partner, but for great friends as well.ReplyDelete
I am a follower and thanks for the chance at this lovely fabric!ReplyDelete
Pretty fabrics. I am glad to have found your blog. I love getting to know other bloggers. I am not wild about Valentines Day and the emphasis on Romantic Love. But I love my kids and enjoy spoiling them!ReplyDelete
Oooh, those are some very luscious fabrics! Welllll... Valentines day, for me, has never been about romantic love. Not that it can't include romantic love! But for me, Valentines represents love in all forms- love of family, love of life, love of nature. What I like about Valentines day is that it reminds us to love something, anything, wholeheartedly. What I DISLIKE about Valentines is that I do NOT receive nearly as much chocolate as I would like!ReplyDelete
I am your newest follower! Thank you for the chance to win!ReplyDelete
Now following you on Google Reader :)ReplyDelete
I love Valentines Day but what I dislike about it are the expectations that come with it. There's too much pressure for that one day!ReplyDelete
I'm already a follower!
Those prints are so pretty! Thanks for sharing! What I love best about Valentine's Day are the valentines. I still give them to all my friends, but I try to make them by hand now. Still a kid at heart! :-)ReplyDelete
Oooh, such a lovely stash. I have to admit my fave thing about Valentines day is the heart shaped chocolates!ReplyDelete
not a fan of valentines day...dont like that it singles anyone out...or makes them feel left out. it is fun to celebrate and make my kids feel special though. your have selected a very sweet stash bundle! thanks for a chance.ReplyDelete
Wow, love those pinks and reds! I've never been a huge Valentine's Day fan, but now that my daughter is 5, and she is so excited, it is pretty fun. She's making handmade cards for everyone in her class! Thanks for the chance to win.ReplyDelete
Sweet, thanks:) VALentines day for me is meh, but I will try to do something cute for the hubby:)ReplyDelete
Im following your blog...Just found it about a month ago and enjoy it, Thanks:)ReplyDelete
Hi! I like to see hearts and handmades on Valentine's Day, but I'm not into the whole big dinner thing. Just give me hugs and kisses every day and mean it, and we're good :PReplyDelete
Great fabrics! I love them all!ReplyDelete
I'm a new follower!ReplyDelete
I don't like how Valentine's day has become so commercial!ReplyDelete
I'm a follower!ReplyDelete
I used to love Valentine's day, but now I don't really care too much. I'd rather have some extra attention all year long.ReplyDelete
I'm already a follower! Thanks for hosting this giveaway.ReplyDelete
THanks for this chance to win. Love your blog! =)ReplyDelete
I'm not that big of a fan of Valentine's Day anymore. I think it has gotten too commercial and I would rather my husband buy me flowers and chocolates spontaneously because he wants to.ReplyDelete
I just signed up to follow!ReplyDelete
I love all the fabrics you chose...I'm a RED lover! What I like about Valentine's Day is corresponding with friends...my gift to them is a nice newsy snail mail letter decorated with hearts all over that they receive in their mailbox close to Valentine's Day! Thanks for the giveaway.ReplyDelete
I just signed up to follow via email.ReplyDelete
I hate the commercialism of Valentines Day. I hate how flowers cost about 3 times as much (or more). Thanks for your lovely give away, that's one thing I do like about Valentines Day. :-)ReplyDelete
Hi.. I am a first time visitor for this site. For me Valentines Day is very special as we have a defined occasion to re-look at our love.. a time to celebrate our love and make it even more memorable than each day that we share together.ReplyDelete
Valentines day is also a time to gift what my special lady wants.. And also about excitement of getting something back ribboned with love. For many it might seem a simple task of going to a shop and buying what we need. But for us, it is more than that.. We try to give a personal touch to whatever we gift...
Let me give some examples... In one of the past Valentines Day, we made a treasure hunt.. each gift we find out at home, will have clue to the location of the next gift... Another occasion, we thought of getting gifts which has some link(or remembrance) of our loved ones in the family... Sometimes, it were a compilation of old songs that she loves listening, recorded on a single DVD... sometimes, it were a compilation of photos of us together at different locations we visited after we met...
This time, its going to be different... I wish to win a gift for her.. and I am trying to give my best in several contests running on the occasion of Valentines Day.. If I win here, I am sure, she is going to love the fabrics you have on offer!! Fingers crossed!! (email@example.com)
[Donno why my post is not visible.. hence posting again.. :( ]
I dislike Valentine's because I think it's just a "hallmark" holiday anymore. Maybe we need several of them sprinkled throughout the year.ReplyDelete
I'm a new follower.ReplyDelete
Wonderful bundle Jenn!! All the fabrics are really cute.ReplyDelete
Well, I don't like too much Valentine's day, because is a commercial day (it makes sense?), just for spend money.
Everyday you've to show your love for your husband/wife not just one day.
thanks for the giveaway. Fingers crossed :)
I am a new follower. Looking forward to seeing your work!ReplyDelete
My first comment seems to have disappeared, so I'll try again. I agree with Elena, Valentine's Day seems to be a commercial exploitation of love, designed to guilt us into opening our wallets. You can show your love (for your significant other or chocolate) any day of the year!ReplyDelete
thanks fr the wonderful chance! what I love most is the chocolate :P, though I absolutely agree with Elena and Pat V. My fingers and toes crossed! xxReplyDelete
What beautiful fabric! I dislike Valentine's Day because the prices of things goes way up and you're expected to just fork over the money for it. Hubby and I have decided that it's just another day and we can give each other gifts and go out to dinner on any other day that we choose (and save a bunch of money). :)ReplyDelete
I dislike how commercial it is. I like that it's a day to appreciate the people the people you love!ReplyDelete
What a lovely giveaway - so generous!ReplyDelete
What is strange about Valentine's day, is that it is kind of being forced on us here in Europe... we don't have it, but in the media, the shops and in the name of globalization it seems we can't avoid it - so now we have a Valentines day?! So odd... not a bad thing for those out there, for who it is a lovely traditon, but most odd to the rest of us...
I love getting to decorate the house with red and white hearts, it's a big pick-up after having to take down the Christmas decorations and having to face the winter weather. Thank you for such a lovely giveaway.ReplyDelete
cute fabric! I love that we get to celebrate love!!ReplyDelete
im a new follower!!ReplyDelete
I love that Valentine's Day is my Anniversary with my amazing husband!ReplyDelete
Hubby and I actually don't celebrate Valentine's Day, but we have just had both of our birthdays in November, Christmas in December, and our anniversary in January so we just need a break come February! I do have to do things for the kids though!ReplyDelete
i love valentines day! It's a day to treat the people you love a little more special. :)ReplyDelete
I love that pink is everywhere and forcing me to get a card or something sweet for a loved one is really kind of nice.ReplyDelete
I have started following your blog!ReplyDelete
My friends and I have a fake 5k every Valentines Day called the Grumble Run - where we walk/run/grumble around town for about 5k. Then in the evenings we have a pro-anti-valentine's day party. It is a fun way to make the day memorable and not necessarily about couples.ReplyDelete
How cute your choice of fabrics are.ReplyDelete
I like Valentines Day when I am in a relationship.
I don´t like it at all, when I am not!
And I am a follower now!ReplyDelete
I love the after-Valentine's sales! :) I've got 2 girls and being able to get pink and heart-shaped things for cheap is always a good thing. :)ReplyDelete
I don't know if this counts as being a follower or not, but I subscribe to you on my Google reader. :)ReplyDelete
Thanks for the giveaway, Jenn! Such pretty fabrics.
Such cute fabrics! I'm not a huge Valentine's Day fan, mostly because it just feels so commercial. But, I do love that my wedding anniversary is just a few days later!ReplyDelete
i don't really care one way or another about this holiday. we usually try to go for a nice dinner, but i don't expect lavish gifts or anything :)ReplyDelete
and i'm a new follower!ReplyDelete
Those are such lovely fabrics - I love the reds!ReplyDelete
Valentine doesn't mean anything to me - I spend the day remembering my mother, who passed away on the 14th. Also Valentine's Day is a fairly new 'tradition' here in Denmark - I guess I'm a bit too old for new tricks;-)
Rampant commercialism aside, I kinda love it. If only for the flowers. If a boy thinks outside the box and brings me freesias, he's a winner!ReplyDelete
i love that I met my husband on Valentine's Day. and I love that we go to Chick-fil-a every year.ReplyDelete
